							Bill Zimmer, 86, of San Jose, passed 
							away Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Hopedale Nursing Home.
 He was born March 17, 1938, in Emden to Wesley W. 
							and Agnes Lydia Miller Zimmer. Bill married Janet 
							Shirley on August 24, 1958 in Emden and she 
							survives.
 
 Also surviving are his children; Shelli (Gary) 
							Wilmarth of Chatham, Doug (Beth) Zimmer of Delavan, 
							Diana (Steve) Seifert of Naples, FL, and Ronald 
							(Barb) Zimmer of Lexington, KY; nine grandchildren, 
							Brian (Jess) Wilmarth, Neil (Shannon) Wilmarth, 
							Jordan (Carolyn) Zimmer, Brady (Elizabeth) Zimmer, 
							Maddison (Trevor) Seibring, Michael (Sarah Gabel) 
							Seifert, Katie (Matt) Smith, Julia Zimmer, Joshua 
							Zimmer; 14 great grandchildren, Micah, Levi, Finn, 
							Logan, Sam, Will, Joe, Tori, Noah, Isaac, Sophia, 
							Bennett, Emery, and Lily Gabel; three sisters, 
							Maxine (Richard) Lolling of Lincoln, Judy (Bob) 
							Taylor of Delavan, and Carol (Joe) Egli of 
							Indianapolis, IN; one sister-in-law, Jayne Zimmer of 
							Lincoln; and several nieces and nephews.
 
 He was preceded in death by his parents; one 
							brother, David Zimmer; and one granddaughter, Kailey 
							Wilmarth.
 
 Bill graduated from Lincoln College and farmed in 
							Delavan, San Jose, and Emden area for 53 years.
 
 He was an active member of Delavan United Methodist 
							Church. Bill served in the past as Delavan United 
							Methodist Council Chairman, First Farmers Bank 
							Board, Taloma Grain Elevator Board, Prairie Creek 
							Township Clerk/Trustee, Lincoln College 2015 
							Athletic Hall of Fame, Lincoln College Alumni 
							Committee, Camp Griesheim Board, Kogudus Retreats, 
							Prison Ministry for 10 years, which was one of 
							Bill’s most rewarding experiences, Dekalb Seed 
							Dealer for 21 years, Logan County Ag. Advisory 
							Board, FFA State Farmer recipient, Logan County and 
							State Fair exhibitor in grain and cattle, and Logan 
							County Fair superintendent for many years in the 
							Agricultural Products Department.
 
 He was a Chicago Cubs and Bradley Braves fan and 
							enjoyed reading Christian books.

							His funeral was Saturday, May 11, 
							2024, at Delavan United Methodist Church in Delavan. 
							Pastor Charles Graul, Pastor Brady Zimmer, and 
							Pastor Brian Wilmarth were the officiates.  
							Burial was at Green Hill Cemetery, San Jose. 
							 
							Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan 
							assisted with the arrangements.
