Lincoln defeats Limestone 4-1
Wyatt Mammen strikes out 10 Rockets

[May 15, 2024]   The Lincoln Railsplitters got a terrific outing from Wyatt Mammen on Wednesday as he worked six innings, allowing no hits and no earned runs in a 4-1 win over the Limestone Rockets. Mammen walked four and struck out ten, earning the win.

 

Last week Mammen broke the school record for career wins. With the win over Limestone he currently sits on 18 career wins at LCHS.

The Railsplitters scored three runs in the top of the first inning to support Mammen on the mound. Griffin Shaw and Trey Schilling each singled to drive in runs in the inning. Brenden Wurth also had a single in the first inning.

Limestone plated their only run in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Lincoln scored in the top of the seventh inning on a fielder’s choice, after Michael Lucas singled and Jarrett Evers walked, to make the score 4-1.

Colbie Glenn pitched the bottom of the seventh inning, allowing one hit while striking out one.

Lincoln had five hits versus the Rockets.

Colbie Glenn, Michael Lucas, Brenden Wurth, Griffin Shaw and Trey Schilling each had singles for the Railsplitters.

Lincoln improved to 22-9 on the season.

The Railsplitters will host regionals beginning next week.
