Carroll Catholic’s Pierce King finishes as State Champ!
A first in 800m and a second in 1600m
 

[May 17, 2024]   The Carroll Catholic Crusaders were represented by Pierce King and Addy Mahler at the Boys and Girls IESA 1A State Track and Field Championships at EastSide Centre in East Peoria on Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11.

King brought home a first place medal in the 800m and a second place medal in the 1600m.

King’s state championship run in the 800m was a PR and a school record. His time was 2:11.58. He also ran a PR and set a school record in the 1600m with a time of 4:50.19. King is an 8th grader at Carroll Catholic.

Addy Mahler finished in fifth place in the Shot Put with a toss of 30’ 0.25. Mahler is in 8th grade at Carroll Catholic.

The Crusaders are coached by Autum Robison.
