CEL Panthers 4x200m Relay team finishes as State Champs!

The Chester East Lincoln Panthers Girls and Boys Track and Field teams participated in the IESA 1A State Track and Field Championships at EastSide Centre in East Peoria on Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11 and it was the 7th grade girls 4x200m Relay team coming home as State Champions!

Girls

State Champs!

Gracie Adams, Addalyn Catey, Addi Mauher and Emery Maynard ran the 4x200m race in 1:57.76. Addie Shaw was the alternate on this championship team.

Addi Mauhar also placed 12th in the Long Jump with a leap of 13’ 9.75.

Emery Maynard placed 16th in the 200m race with a time of 29.21.

Boys

Jacob Long placed 10th in the Shot Put with a toss of 37’ 5.25.

Grady Rutledge placed 2nd in the Long Jump and 11th in the 200m race. Rutledge jumped 17’ 0.75 in the Long Jump. He ran the 200m in 26.54.

The boys 8th grade 4x100 Relay team of Brycen Falcon, Grady Rutledge, James Sewing and Jacob Long medaled with a 7th place finish. Their time was 51.41 and that was a PR. Liam Brandt was an alternate on the relay team.

The girls are coached by Erica Maynard.

The boys are coached by Evan Maynard.
