WLB Wolverines 4x100m Relay team finishes as State Champs!
Grace Bivin finishes in 2nd place in High Jump

[May 17, 2024] 

The West Lincoln Broadwell Wolverines Girls Track and Field team participated in the IESA 1A State Track and Field Championships at EastSide Centre in East Peoria on Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11 and it was the 7th grade girls 4x100m Relay team coming home as State Champions!

State Champs!

Sage Gilbert, Grace Bivin, Taylor Short and Paisley Holmes ran the 4x100m Relay in 54.34. That is a PR for the state champions! Piper Craig was the alternate on this championship team.

These girls also ran the 4x400 Relay and finished third with a time of 4:37.49.

Sage Gilbert ran the 200m in 28.92 and finished in 13th place. This was a PR for Gilbert.

Taylor Short ran the 800m in 2:38.68, finishing in 9th place.

Grace Bivin finished in second place in the High Jump with a jump of 4’ 7.75.

WLB finished in 8th place at State as a team with 24 total points.

WLB is coached by head coach Tiffany Battin and assistant coach Chrissy Short.
