While on defense, Clark appeared to fold the
ankle under her as she approached a Connecticut player who was
setting a screen. Without making contact with the opponent, she
went down to the court for a few moments before heading back to
the locker room when play was halted with 5:29 left in the first
half and Connecticut leading 36-34.
Clark, a rookie who began the night averaging a team-best 17
points per game, returned to the bench moments later but did not
return to the game in the first half. The Fever led 44-41 at
halftime.
She had eight points, two rebounds and two turnovers in the
first half.
Clark experienced tightness in the ankle during warmups but
didn't think it was serious, according to the ESPN broadcast.
