Elaine Aue 2024 Most Distinguished Alumni at Lincoln Junior High School

 

[May 23, 2024]    At the Lincoln Junior High School graduation ceremony on Friday, May 17, 2024 Elaine Aue was designated and recognized as the LJHS Most Distinguished Alumni for 2024.

Ms. Aue is the owner of the Lincoln Culver’s Restaurant and through “Culver’s Night” fundraisers has raised many thousands of dollars for local organizations, groups, and individuals.

Those helped include local schools and school groups, churches, the Humane Society, Lincoln Woman’s Club, the Oasis, and many more. Her generosity has also raised money for more personal needs; families who have faced tragedy or heartache, people fighting cancer, and those facing major surgery. She has raised funds for groups going on mission trips and for kids going to sport camps. The number people who have been helped and touched by the generosity of Ms. Aue is enormous.

In 2012 District 27 formed an Alumni Recognition Committee to select, recognize, and celebrate outstanding LJHS graduates who have contributed significantly to the betterment of others. In previous years the committee has recognized former Mayor John Guzzardo, poet Langston Hughes, and local businessman William E. Gossett, among others.

This year District 27 is pleased to recognize and honor Elaine Aue for her endless generosity and support for our community.
