Stags win regional championship over Greenview

The
Hartsburg-Emden Stags won the IHSA Class 1A Regional championship
over Greenview on Thursday night in Mount Pulaski.
The Stags won in two sets, 25-21 and 25-17.
Cambelle Hopkins led the Stags with 9 kills.

Alayna Briggs had 8 kills and she also recorded her 1,000th career
kill in set one.
The Stags improve to 28-8 on the season.
Greenview finished the season with a 26-10 record. This was the most
volleyball wins in a season in school history for the Bulldogs. The
Bulldogs are coached by Ronica Boundy and Payton Hoerbert.
Hartsburg-Emden will play Augusta Southeastern in the sectional
semifinal on Tuesday night. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
