He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers: Richard, Gary, Jerry, and Mark.

Ron worked at Caterpillar for over 30 years as a welder before retiring. Even after “retirement”, Ron never really retired. He helped out George and Larry Wilham on the farm and mowed numerous yards in Mt. Pulaski along with Mary over the years. For several years, Ron and Mary owned and operated Farmers Family Restaurant in Mt. Pulaski.

When not working, Ron enjoyed drag-racing, fishing, riding his scooter, mowing yards, and sitting at the restaurant visiting with all his friends. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

A graveside service for Ron will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 1st at Steenbergen Cemetery. The family requests casual dress.

Memorials may be made in Ron’s name to Mt. Pulaski Phoenix Fire Department, Mt. Pulaski EMS, United Riders MC Inc. of Lincoln, or to the donor’s choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski.
