Foundation Ensemble to perform Sunday at the Mt. Pulaski Courthouse

The
Mt. Pulaski Courthouse Foundation is pleased to present the Five
Cities Baroque Festival Foundation Ensemble in a program of vocal
and instrumental chamber works by J.S. Bach, Georg Philipp Telemann
and George Frideric Handel on Sunday, November 10th at 2 p.m. in the
Historic Mt. Pulaski Courthouse. The concert also includes work by
important women composers of the period such as Elisabeth Jacquet de
la Guerre, a French clavecinist and Barbara Strozzi, an Italian
Singer and composer of cantatas.
The Five Cities Baroque Foundation Ensemble brings together
outstanding area musicians
to perform 17th and 18th century music and present educational
concerts and events in midwestern communities. Nate Widelitz, a
singer and conductor, is the Artistic Director of the ensemble.

The program is free and open to
the public. A reception will follow the performance and provide
guests with an opportunity to meet the musicians. Join us for
this first of a kind event in Mt. Pulaski. It is a rare
opportunity to hear music of the past brought to life.
The Mt. Pulaski Courthouse Foundation is a not-for-profit
