Sheridan Robert “Bobby” Smith, 81, of Elkhart, passed away on November 13, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

Bobby was born June 20, 1943, the son of Roger S. and Ida L. (McCrady) Smith.

Bobby is survived by his three sisters, Mary Smith of Elkhart, IL, Sandy Gibbs of Elkhart, IL, and Solange Davis of Illiopolis, IL; one nephew, Adam Davis of Decatur, IL; and two nieces, Millicent Grabowski of California and Mandy McClure of Sweden.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sheary McClure.

Bobby proudly served his country as a United States Marine, serving 3 tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW and worked for Doom Farms for over forty years. In 2016, Bobby was proud to take the honor flight with fellow veterans to Washington D.C.

 

Private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski.
