CAPCIL Senior Nutrition to celebrate the 2024 Subaru Share The Love® Event with Blizzard Bag food donation drive
 

[November 21, 2024]    In celebration of the 2024 Subaru Share the Love® Event CAPCIL Senior Nutrition will be hosting a food drive to collect items for our annual Blizzard Bag distribution from December 2-6. The location for food donations is CAPCIL’s corporate office at 1800 Fifth St. Lincoln, Illinois, 62656.

As part of a national partnership with Meals on Wheels America, Subaru of America, Inc. and its retailers will donate a minimum of $300 to a charity, like Meals on Wheels, for every new vehicle leased or sold from November 21, 2024, to January 2, 2025. Since the Subaru Share the Love Event began in 2008, Subaru and its participating retailers have donated more than 4.6 million meals and helped provide friendly visits to seniors being served by local Meals on Wheels programs across the country. Meals on Wheels provides nutritious meals, much needed connection and fosters independence for seniors and people with disabilities.

DONATIONS: Food items needed are: Canned vegetables and fruit, 100% juice boxes, peanut butter crackers or cheese cracker packs, small cans of V-8 juice, Fruit and Grain Bars, small cans of chicken meat or tuna, shelf-stable milk cartons.
