The Mount Pulaski High School volleyball program has a long
history of success that began with the hiring of Donna Dulle back in
1981. Hundreds of athletes went through the program and achieved
great success under Dulle, and for that, they are being recognized
on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Gym at Mount
Pulaski High School.
Mount Pulaski was recently named the fourth best volleyball program
in the history of the IHSA state tournament, surrounded by teams on
the list from the Chicago and St. Louis areas. That is very
impressive for the small school that has long been known as a
volleyball powerhouse in central Illinois.
“We are so excited to recognize Coach Dulle, the student-athletes,
and the other coaches throughout the program’s history,” said
Johnathan Jordan, athletic director at MPHS.
“It is impressive that our program has been recognized at No. 4 and
we wanted to make sure that the coach and the student-athletes had a
chance to be recognized for their achievements. The timing this
Wednesday with the Bill Rucks Tournament and Thanksgiving seemed
like a perfect time to get the community together.”
