Theresa Moore, the Logan County Clerk and
Recorder, received the Illinois Association of County Officials
‘County Official of the Year’ award on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
This award is given to one county official who demonstrates IACO’s
mission of improving the quality of county government through
education, promoting responsible public policy, and providing
ethical service while maintaining a high standard of performance.
Theresa Moore was also presented with a Senate Certificate of
Recognition from Senator Sally Turner, on behalf of the 44th
District, in honor of her IACO award.
Theresa Moore has been faithfully serving Logan County for seventeen
years. She personifies service, and her motivation is derived from
her love of family and loyalty to community. Theresa promotes
personal communication through community involvement and office
accessibility. Theresa’s service is not limited as the County Clerk
and Recorder; she also serves her local community of Elkhart in
various ways. She gives of her time and resources, after her 'office
hours' are over, to step into other roles that are equally important
to her. In addition to her local government contributions, she gives
her time to a local organization called Needs And Goals (NAG) of
which she is a member. Through her commitment and sacrifice, the
county has benefited in many ways.
She is humbled to be able to serve her community and intends to
continue as Logan County’s Clerk and Recorder.
