Franklin Wade led Mount Pulaski in scoring with
14 points. Eric Cooper added 11 points.
The Hilltoppers trailed 12-8 in the first quarter.
By halftime Mount Pulaski was on top 21-19 with Lamarion Solomon
and Aaron Volle each scoring four points to lead the Hilltoppers
in the second quarter.
The Maroons took over a 34-29 lead in the third quarter.
Mount Pulaski outscored Clinton 13-10 in the fourth quarter,
with Franklin Wade having seven of those points.
Mount Pulaski had an opportunity to score with .6 seconds on the
clock and could not pull off the win. The 44-42 loss is the
first one of the season for the Hilltoppers as they fall to 2-1.
The Hilltoppers will play Edinburg today at 5:00 p.m. in the
third place game.
