The Monday, October 7th Pink Shirt picture for breast cancer awareness is the staff at the Comfort Inn in Lincoln.

When a warrior is fighting breast cancer, we know that finding physical comfort can be pretty difficult. But there can be emotional and spiritual comfort in knowing that there are people who care about what happens to us, and wants to see us get well.

That is why every year in October hundreds of people vow to wear their pink shirts to show support and raise awareness for those who are fighting a very tough war against cancer.

Please take comfort in know you are loved and cared about and prayed for.

While Baylor Ingram may still be a little small to actually ride the pink pedal tractor that was purchased for her at the Pink Pumpkin auction, it appears that she is not too young to be excited about it.

This is possibly one of our favorite pictures from the Pink Pumpkin Auction to benefit the American Cancer Society auction held on Thursday evening at Collision Concepts.

The auction committee is wrapping up on the final details and tallies of the auction, and LDN expects to have compete coverage from the event starting on Tuesday.

Here is a blast from the past for some of you readers, the 1974 Championship boys baseball team. That year, 50 years ago, the Lincoln Junior High School Trojans won the state championship  title, and to date, are still the only LJHS team to do so.

Kendall Hurley found this photo and wanted to share it publicly thinking some of his former teammates might get a kick out of remembering that wonderful season.
