a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Hartsburg
Union Cemetery.

Obituary
Cecil Emery Birdwell, 80, of Lincoln,
passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Lincoln
Memorial Hospital.
Cecil was born August 18, 1944, in Decatur, the son
of Clyde and Inis (England) Birdwell. He married
Alverna Settle in 1966, they later divorced. Cecil
then married Martha Conrady in 1991. She passed away
in 2007.
Cecil is survived by his daughters, Devenna (D.J.
Giles) Birdwell and Regina Sweck; grandchildren, CJ
Sweck, Tyler Sweck, and Bailey Birdwell;
great-grandchildren, Alize’ Sweck and Ayla Parrish;
and his siblings, Donnie Birdwell, Ida Joyce
Beavers, Jerry (Karen) Birdwell, and Phillip
Birdwell. He is also survived by his three
stepdaughters and several step-grandchildren and
step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife,
Martha; and his brothers, Bill, James, and Mitchell
Birdwell. |
Cecil was a member of Buffalo
Christian Church as well as the Sportsman and
Fishing Club of Mt. Pulaski, and the Bethany C.B.
Club. He was an avid fisherman and arrowhead hunter.
Cecil liked to play guitar and shared his passion
with two of his grandchildren. Most of all he loved
spending time with his family and friends.

Union Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Cecil’s family in care of
Devenna Birdwell.
