[October 11, 2024]    Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois (CAPCIL) is excited to announce the launch of its 5th annual “Holiday Hearts for Kids” campaign, which will run through December 6, 2024.

This heartwarming initiative is dedicated to ensuring children in need across CAPCIL’s six-county service area experience the joy of the holiday season through the generosity of community members and organizations.

The Holiday Hearts for Kids campaign aims to provide gifts for 80 children this year. Over the last three years, CAPCIL has successfully brightened the holidays for nearly 200 children, thanks to the generosity of local sponsors.

CAPCIL offers a variety of sponsorship levels to make giving simple:

Christmas Elf
Christmas Santa
Christmas Angel
Christmas Mystery

For every $50 donation, one child will receive a Christmas gift, purchased by CAPCIL staff and volunteers. Every dollar raised goes directly to purchasing gifts, bringing the magic of the season to those who need it most.

CAPCIL Executive Director Jenifer Deweese shared, “The holidays are typically devoted to giving. People give gifts to their family and friends, give their time to charity, and give monetary donations. As we enter this giving season, let’s remember that not all our neighbors are in the same financial position. The stress of the holiday season is real and unbearable for low-income families. If you are able to donate, please do.”
