Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: As many of you
know, there was a bomb threat at LMH on Friday, April 26th. The
Lincoln City police and all their partners took the call seriously
and were prompt and efficient in clearing the buildings and
protecting the patients and staff of both the hospital and the
attached Springfield Clinic building.
We are very blessed to have such dedicated and
skilled officers protecting us. Thanks to all of those who were on
duty and those off duty officers and paramedic staff called in to
help. There was a tremendous response to this situation and I am so
grateful.
Sincerely,
Melissa Cox MD
