							Controversial issues:

							As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

            | To the editor: Each year
during Nursing Team Week (May 6-12), Memorial Health and Lincoln
Memorial Hospital honor all the nursing team members who go above
and beyond to provide high-quality care to our patients. Nurses
across Lincoln and Logan County work in a variety of settings,
including at Lincoln Memorial Hospital, as well as in clinics,
patient homes, local nursing homes and assisted living centers.
A career in nursing requires a lifetime of commitment: to
compassion, to continuous learning and to service. I feel proud and
honored to work alongside so many kind, talented nursing team
members who have made that commitment to our patients and
			communities.

[to top of second column in this letter] |

While nursing can be challenging, it also brings many
rewards and the confidence that we are truly making a difference in
			people’s lives.
This week, please take a few moments to thank the nursing
professionals in your life for their commitment and for all the work
			they do.

 Roxanne Stelle
 Chief Nursing Officer,
 Lincoln Memorial Hospital
