At the Tuesday night voting
session of the Lincoln City Council, aldermen
approved a motion that will pave the way for the
expansion of the solar farm located across the road
from the city waste treatment plant.
The current solar farm is providing a benefit to the
city’s sewerage plant. Once completed the expansion
will provide benefits to other city owned buildings.
The land that will be designated for the expansion
is not currently being farmed because it is too
marsh-like, therefore the expansion will not reduce
agricultural production.
