Stags home opener is a clean sweep of Delavan

The Hartsburg-Emden Stags won their home opener on Tuesday night versus the Delavan Panthers.

The Varsity won 25-17 and 25-12 while the Junior Varsity won 25-7 and 25-15.

Alayna Briggs led the Stags with 16 kills.

Celia Cross had 16 assists for Hartem.

The Varsity team is off to a 6-1 start.

The JV team is now 1-1.

The Stags will host Williamsville tonight at 6:00 p.m.

This matchup is sure to be a good one with the Stags facing yet another larger school. That does not matter to the Stags, in fact, it’s the Bullets who better be ready because Hartem is loaded with talent and at the top of the list are Alayna Briggs, Celia Cross and Emma Eeten. Each of these student-athletes just made the Class of 2026 Prep Volleyball Watch List for the season. Briggs also garnered recognition on the AVCA Phenom List. Impressive to say the least.
