Obituary
Linda L. Kirby, 76, of Heyworth
passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Carle
BroMenn Medical center in Normal.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday,
September 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the McLean
Cemetery with Mr. Tony Billingsley officiating.
Linda L Funk was born on July 24, 1948, in
Bloomington, the daughter of Stephen Correll and
Glaida Maxine WadeFunk. She was united in marriage
to Maurice Kirby on July 21, 1968. He survives.
Also surviving are her children: Dawn Smith, Mark
Kirby, Erik Kirby, Laurel Estes, and Kenneth Kirby;
five grandchildren: Shirley (Jacob) Casey, Brayden
Estes, Austin Estes, Chad Kirby, and Allie Smith;
one great-grandson: Theodore Casey; one sister:
Susan Kirby; and three brothers: Larry (Sharon)
Funk, Michael (Debbie) Funk, and Adam (Val) Funk. |
She was preceded in death by her
parents and brother-in-law Ronnie Kirby.
Linda graduated from Heyworth High School in 1966
and attended Illinois State University.
Her hobbies included reading and playing the piano
and guitar.
Memorials may be made to the McLean Christian
Church.
Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
