[September 05, 2024]  LINCOLN - Donald F. Fults, 76, of Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Timber Creek Village in Lincoln.

Celebration of Live:  Friday, September 6, 2024, from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Council #1250 in Lincoln.

Obituary

Donald F. Fults, 76, of Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Timber Creek Village in Lincoln.

A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Council #1250 in Lincoln.

Cremation Rites have been accorded.

Donald Franz Fults was born on February 24, 1948, in Lincoln, the son of Jeffery E. and Eleanor “Shug” Franz Fults.

He is survived by his children: Saint (Amy) Fults, Brandon (Maria) Fults, and Julie (Bill) Papatheofanis; and grandchildren: Gavin, Ivy, Persephone, and Dimitri. He is also survived by his siblings: Jean Peters, Jeff Fults, Bobby Fults, Doody Newberry and Eleanor “Snucks” Feldman.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Don graduated from Lincoln Community High School in 1966. He attended Eureka College, graduated from Murray State University with a bachelor's degree, and received his master’s degree from University of Illinois - Springfield. He taught Mathematics at the Lincoln Community High School for thirty years. Don was very proud of coaching the Lincoln Community High School Girls Basketball team.

His hobbies included playing golf and pool. He found great companionship from his beloved recue cat "Alley Cat."

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Logan County.
