Obituary
Lisa Arlene MacDonald, 64, of
Lincoln, passed away peacefully on August 28th
surrounded by love.
At her request there will be no services. Cremation
rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett
Funeral Home.
She was born on December 12, 1959 to Arlie and Lila
Joiner in Harrisburg, IL. They preceded her in
death.
Lisa is predeceased by her
parents, grandparents and husband, Michael. She
married Michael on September 17, 1986 and they
shared nearly 34 wonderful years together before his
passing in 2020. Lisa and her family owned and
operated Arrowhead Acres Camp Ground in Clinton for
many years prior to relocating to Lincoln. She was
employed by the Illinois Department of Corrections
in Lincoln for 20 years.
She is survived by a brother
Jeffrey Joiner (Carolyn),a cousin who was more like
a brother Robert West (Lisa), a friend who was like
a sister Karen Klockenga-Burgrabe (Nick), a friend
who was like a daughter Shelly Constance ( Keith),
and a niece, nephew, great niece and her two beloved
dogs Sadie and Bubbles. Her pets brought her immense
joy and comfort and were always treated as part of
the family. Also surviving her are her boys Luke
Newhouse, Seth Constance, and Wyatt Constance. They
were the light of her life and she was fiercely
proud of them. |
There are many friends, family,
neighbors and coworkers that she leaves behind who
will treasure the memories they’ve made with her and
honor her legacy everyday.
She had a kind and generous spirit
that flowed into everyone she came in contact with.
Her friends were not just friends they were her
chosen family. She had a way of making you feel
special and could make everything more fun just by
being there. She loved adventures and traveling and
especially her time in Florida these past few
winters.
Lisa will be deeply missed by
everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her
legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering loyalty
will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She
leaves behind a world that is a little less bright
without her, but her memory will forever be a
guiding light.
