- Linda Sue Diers, 80, of Lincoln, passed away on
Saturday, August 30, 2024, at her home.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at
Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Obituary
Linda Sue Diers, 80, of Lincoln,
passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2024, at her
home.
Linda was born on March 18th, 1944, in Lincoln, the
daughter of Mason Louis and Betsy Hannah (Kirkman)
Poole. She married Joseph Diers on April 23rd, 1971,
in Lincoln.
Linda is survived by her husband, Joseph; her two
sons, Tom (Debbie) Diers and Joel (Stefanie) Diers,
and two grandchildren, Aliyah and Mason.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and her
siblings, Carol Schmidt, Norma Barnhart, Robert
Poole, and Mildred Gelbach.
Linda worked for the US Postal Service. She was also
devoted to the Lord and was a longtime member of
Lincoln Christian Church. She loved her Sunday
School class “The Encouragers.” |
A graveside service will be held at a
later date at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Linda’s memory to
Lincoln Christian Church.
Cremation rites have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
