On Friday morning, the students of the Lincoln Christian Church pre-school had a special visit from the Lincoln Fire Department. The department staff brought fire trucks to the church parking lot and kids had a lot of fun exploring the large vehicles.

Then fireman Ben Roland carefully put on his fire fighting gear, explaining to the kids what each piece was about, and encouraged them to understand that while it may look odd, there is a really friendly person under all that equipment. He said that if he would ever have to come to their home, the children should remember what they learned and not be afraid to let the fire man help them.
