Cheryl L. Tarr, age 78, of Columbia, peacefully passed away on September 7, 2024. She was born in Lincoln, IL, on May 13, 1946.

Cheryl was an avid reader, enjoyed planting and caring for her flowers, and greatly valued spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved being outdoors and soaking up the sun. Her love for shopping was like no other. She had a passion for decorating her home during the holidays, especially Christmas.

She was a light in the lives of those she loved. Her bright and radiant energy gave her the nicknames “Beauty Queen” and “Sunshine”. Cheryl’s loving, humorous, and feisty spirit was one of a kind.

Cheryl is survived by her children, Beth Winger (Phil), Kathy Coscia (Ralph), Debbie Menninger (Mark), Stephanie Snyders, and Paul Tarr IV (Tina). Cheryl is also survived by her grandchildren, Laura Bartell (Nathan), Erinn Brown (Kyler), Andrew Menninger, Jack Snyders, Kerri Menninger, Addison Tarr, and Benjamin Tarr.

Cheryl is predeceased by her husband, Paul Tarr III; brother, Elton Hurley; and daughter, Robin Bradford.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Cheryl’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association would be greatly appreciated.
