John Thomas Becker, 64, of Mason
City, passed away September 11, 2024 at Mason
District Hospital in Havana.
He was born January 29, 1960, in Lincoln, the son of
Thomas and Maxine (Lambert) Becker. John is survived
by his brother David (Alberta) Becker, sister
Barbara (Darwin) Kindred; and several nieces and
nephews: Phillip (Melissa) Barrish, Brandon Becker,
Brian (Alexis) Becker, Ashley (John) Nugent, and
Alexis Becker( Austin). 11 great nieces and nephews
also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his
brother Bill Becker.
John graduated from Lincoln Community High School.
He didn't know a stranger. When he was younger he
rode his bicycle around Middletown. He loved garage
sales and church potlucks, cutting pictures out of
catalogs and doing puzzles. John lived at Lincoln
Terrace and then at Mason City Area Nursing Home. He
enjoyed the activities there, especially bingo.
Darwin and Barb visited frequently and brought him a
milkshake and homemade cookies. David and Bert face
timed with him regularly. |
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, September 19,
2024 at Jefferson Street Christian Church with services at 11 a.m. Burial
will follow in Indian Point Cemetery, Athens. Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral
Home is assisting the family.
Memorial donations may be made to Jefferson Street Christian Church or to the
Humane Society of Logan County.
