The
public is invited to meet Memorial Specialty Care general surgeon Dr.
Mohammad Torabi at an upcoming “Coffee with the Doc” event.
The free event will be held from 7:30 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26,
at Guest House Coffee and Pastries, 113 S. Kickapoo St., Lincoln.
Dr. Torabi began performing procedures at Lincoln Memorial Hospital
earlier this year. He also sees patients for pre- and post-operative
appointments at Memorial Care in Lincoln – ensuring his patients receive
the care they need without having to travel to another community.
“I’ve enjoyed getting to know my patients and everything Lincoln has to
offer during the past few months,” Dr. Torabi said. “I look forward to
meeting more community members at ‘Coffee with the Doc.’”
Dr. Torabi earned his medical degree from American University of Antigua
before completing a residency in surgery at Sparrow Hospital – Michigan
State University. He served as a clinical instructor at Michigan State
University for five years before joining Memorial Specialty Care.

As a general surgeon, he performs procedures to treat
a wide variety of conditions, including carpal tunnel, colorectal
disease, complex hernias, breast cancer and others.
“We’re pleased to be able to partner with Memorial Specialty Care to
offer local patients the opportunity to have not only their
procedures, but also their care before and after surgery, here in
Lincoln,” said Dolan Dalpoas, president and CEO of Lincoln Memorial
Hospital. “I invite anyone who may have surgery in their future to
stop by the ‘Coffee with the Doc’ event and get to know Dr. Torabi.”
