‘What does that have to do with dinosaurs?’ you might
be wondering. Well, the I Heart Cookies company also brought several
animatronic dinosaur displays. The admission price was the purchase
of one cookie.
Many cookies were on offer, with some of the options
being caramel chocolate chip cookies, Belgian waffle cookies,
monster cookies, and even snickerdoodle cinnamon roll cookies.
Anyone who RSVP’d to the event was able to claim a free cookie as
well.
Once a cookie was purchased, the purchaser could walk around to the
back side of the trailer and see the dinosaurs. There were three
separate displays. The displays on the left and right moved, but all
three made noise. The noise was fairly loud, with dinosaur roars
clearly being heard and a prerecorded voice telling those in
attendance about the dinosaurs. The left display had several
Velociraptors and a Triceratops. The center display had a
Velociraptor hiding in some bushes.
The right most display had a T-rex eating a fish and
an Ankylosaurus.

There were also small Sauropods near some dinosaur
eggshells for kids to take pictures with. Kids could also dig for
dinosaur bones in a sandbox nearby the animatronics.
Lilly Vasquez, one of the people running the I Heart Cookies truck,
spoke a bit on the dinosaur exhibit. Vasquez stated the dinosaur
exhibit is coming up on a year old, as they started it back in
January. When asked about where this exhibit had been in that time,
Vasquez had this to say: “I couldn’t even count. We’ve been all the
way from Texas up to Chicago, Minnesota, Wisconsin.”
Vasquez was also asked about the seemingly odd pairing of dinosaurs
and cookies. “It’s definitely a different concept, but kiddos love
dinosaurs, and everyone loves cookies. They go together if you
really think about it.”
