Visitation: Monday, September 30, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Casual dress is requested.

Obituary

Garin Scott Farmer, 61, of Lincoln, passed away September 20, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home.

A memorial visitation will be held Monday, September 30, 2024, from 4-6:30 PM at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Casual dress is requested. Wear your favorite sports jersey or band t-shirt. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Garin was born April 7, 1963, in Lincoln, the son of Roland Eugene Farmer and Bonnie Jo (Cecil). He married Tracy Sullivan on August 23, 1990. Mr. Farmer was a youth football coach for many years. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Illini fan. He bled orange and blue. Garin was a master mechanic and worked numerous places. He enjoyed good music, travel, camping, nature and the outdoors, and loved his dogs. He always took good care of his family.

Survivors include his mother Bonnie Jo Farmer, his wife Tracy Farmer, children: Christina (Jorge) Reza, Ericka Sullivan, Amber Farmer, and Marcus Farmer; sister Brianne Vecchia (Ron Bonomo), nieces Lilli Vecchia and Daisy Vecchia, great nephew Zayne Vecchia, and his canine companion.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, his father, extended family members, and his canine companion Smokey.

Memorial donations may be made to the family in care of Tracy Farmer or Bonnie Farmer.
