Louis, MO.
Katherine was born in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of
William Frances and Ruth Doris (Clark) McKenna.
She was a champion in the field of Nutrition and
Dietetics spanning 50 years and serving a range of
populations from the youth to the elderly. Kathy
held a multitude of positions characterizing her
compassion to serve others, her leadership
capabilities, and her striving for ongoing growth
and excellence in herself, her peers, and her
clients.
She gained multiple degrees in higher education. At
Mount Mary College in Milwaukee WI, she earned a
Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science
Nutrition Education. Five years later she obtained a
Master of Administration at Cardinal Stritch College
in Milwaukee. Later in life she returned to academia
to obtain her PhD in Geriatric Nutritional
Assessment.
She married Sir Peter Rosner on October 28th, 1994,
in Milwaukee, WI. They shared a love of adventure
and world travel, including Europe, Asia, Africa,
Israel, and Belize.
Katherine and Peter lived in a few places, finding
their forever home in Lincoln, IL. Katherine became
the Manager of Dietary Services for 10 years serving
the local community at Christian Village. As a final
step in her career, she joined Aperion Care INC, as
a Regional Consultant Clinical Dietitian in long
term care.
She was an active member of Holy Family Catholic
Church in Lincoln, IL. She loved to sing in the
choir and to sing solos. |
After the loss of Peter in 2021,
Kathy remained in their beloved home. She was also
preceded in death by her parents, and sister,
Maureen.
In addition to Katherine's love of
travel, she enjoyed making crafts, needlework,
puzzles, reading, and was an excellent seamstress.
Kathy loved her pet cats that she cared for through
the years. She enjoyed gift giving to her
co-workers. She loved making baby blankets for her
co-workers and bringing baked goods during Christmas

is."
