Join
Fitz-a-Palooza on October 4th and 5th for two days of good friends,
fun, and raising money for Colorectal Cancer research and treatment.
Fitz-a-Palooza is hosted by the Fitzpatrick family in
memory of Joe Fitzpatrick and Joni Marten.
After Joni was diagnosed in June 2013, a group of
family and friends participated in the Undy 5K in Peoria. A few
years later Joe was diagnosed with colon cancer and unfortunately
lost his battle in April 2017.
Joni lost her battle in April 2020 after a remarkable
7 year cancer journey. In the past ten years organizers have grown
the Fitz-a-Palooza in their hometown of Lincoln.
Done to honor Joe and Joni but to also help all those
affected by colorectal cancer in Logan County, 100 percent of the
proceeds will benefit the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.

That alliance is the leader in supporting those
affected by colorectal cancer, creating awareness about early
detection and funding research.
Activities will be held on Friday October 4th and
Saturday October 5th.
On Friday, sign up to be a part of the Fitz-a-Palooza
golf outing starting at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start.
On Saturday come to Kickapoo Creek Park to the large
pavilion at the top of the hill by the playground for the 5K Walk
starting at 10 a.m.
