Obituary
Norma Jean Price, 89, of Mason City
died Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at mason City Area
Nursing Home. She was born on January 12, 1936 to
John and Alura (McCoy) Duel. She married Donald
Price Sr. on June 27, 1950.
Norma is survived by 1 daughter Elizabeth (Anthony)
Ballard of Texas, 3 sons: Zack (Susan) Price of
Evanston, Rob Price of Ashland and Donald (Marie)
Price Jr., of Springfield. 8 grandchildren: Mary
(Steve) Palmer, Emily (Shane) Burton, Denise (John)
Higginbotham, Ruth (Bennie) Cruz, John Ballard,
Karen Ballard, Gary Price and Paul Price, 6
great-grandchildren and 1 sister Diana Hill. She was
preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3
brothers and 5 sisters.
Norma was a homemaker, reporter for the Pekin Times
and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She was a member
of the Christian Church in Mason City.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and a Memorial
Service will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at
11:00 AM at Mason City Christian Church, burial will
follow at Mason City Cemetery. Visitation will be
held from 10:00 AM until the time of service also at
the church. Memorial contributions may be made to
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Online
