							Irma Jean Buckles, 96, of Mt. Pulaski 
							passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 
							Vonderlieth Living Center in Mt. Pulaski, IL.Irma Jean was born on July 9, 1928, in Chestnut, 
							IL., the daughter of William and Uva (Dunn) Baker. 
							She married Henry F. “Hank” Buckles on February 25, 
							1950, in Chestnut, IL. He preceded her in death in 
							October of 2006.
 
 Irma Jean is survived by her four children, John 
							(Lee Ann) Buckles of Mt. Pulaski, Frank Buckles of 
							Mt. Pulaski, James (Henry) Buckles of Sarasota, FL, 
							and Mary Jane (Floyd) Yeck of Rochester, IL.; seven 
							grandchildren, Jeremy, Cassie, Brooke, Bridget, 
							Michael, Matthew, and Mandy; and eight 
							great-grandchildren.
 
 Irma Jean is preceded in death by her parents; 
							husband; son, Andy Buckles; four sisters, and three 
							brothers.
 
							Irma Jean was the last of her 
							immediate family. She was loved & admired by her 
							entire family. She was a gifted baker and was known 
							for her sweet rolls and cream puffs. | 
					
					 
							Words from Irma Jean that she wishes 
							to share with everyone. She would ask you to take 
							your life one day at a time, that you find strength 
							in God, and value your family above all else just 
							like she did. There is a comfort being in God’s 
							hands because he gives us eternity as our last step.
 A graveside service for Irma Jean will take place 
							Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Steenbergen 
							Cemetery in Mt. Pulaski, IL. Memorials may be made 
							in Irma Jean’s name to Mt. Pulaski Christian Church 
							and Mt. Pulaski EMS. Funeral services have been 
							entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in 
							Mt. Pulaski, IL.
