Obituary
Samuel "Sam" L. Evans, 82, of Lincoln
passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at the Lincoln
Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.
No services are scheduled at this time. Sam's wishes
were for his body to be donated to Medical Science.
Burial will be at a later date at Camp Butler
National Cemetery in Springfield.
Samuel L Evans was born on July 17, 1942 in
Champaign the son of Samuel Edward and Leona B.
Bateman Evans. He was united in marriage to Masae
Hotani. She preceded in death.
Surviving Sam is one niece Polly Norman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and
one sister.

Sam served in the United States Air
Force. He worked as a Airframe and Power Plant
mechanic with an AI certification. He retired from
the Logan County Airport.
He enjoyed attending auctions and working on
airplanes.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's
choice.
