Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Henry Rehab and Nursing.

Obituary
Jean Luise Menzel, 78, of Varna,
passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Henry
Rehab and Nursing.
Jean Luise was born on March 4, 1946, the daughter
of Heinz Herbert Max Hauffe and Eileene Marie
Banister Hauffe. She married Harry Earle Menzel in
August of 1966 in Lincoln, IL.
Jean Luise is survived by her children, Kari Ann
Foster, Danielle (Tim Oswald) Menzel, and Harry C. (Habiba)
Menzel; and four grandchildren, Samuel Foster,
Maxwell Foster, Zara Menzel, and Harry N. Menzel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and
husband, Harry Earle.
Jean Luise served as president of Kankakee Women's
Junior League. She was a junior church leader at St.
Mark’s United Methodist Church in Kankakee. Jean
Luise was a mom to many foreign exchange students
over the years.

A memorial service will be held at
11:00 am on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL.
Burial will follow the services at New Union
Cemetery in Lincoln. Memorials may be made in Jean
Luise’s name to Lincoln First United Methodist
Church.
