The Glenwood Titans not only beat Lincoln 10-0
on Wednesday afternoon in Chatham, but it was a no-hitter in
five innings for Alyvia Streb.
Streb walked two batters and struck out four. She faced 15
batters. Lincoln’s only two base runners were caught stealing.
The Titans had 13 hits off Lincoln pitching. Two of those hits
were home runs.
Sophia Feld and Ava Bobb each homered for the Titans.
Feld hit her home run in the six-run second inning the Titans
put together. It was a two-run shot to center with Bobb on base.
There were also five singles and a double in the inning.
The Titans scored one run in the third inning and three more
runs in the fourth inning.
The fourth inning was highlighted by Bobb’s two-run shot to
right. The Titans were also busy on the base paths with a single
and a triple in the inning.
Madisen Wurth started the game for Lincoln. She worked one and
one-third innings, allowing seven hits and six runs.
Regan Kutz worked two innings, allowing six hits and four runs.
She struck out one batter.
Norah Block pitched two-thirds of an inning. She struck out one
batter.
Glenwood improved to 8-0 on the season.
Lincoln falls to 6-5 on the season.  |
