am on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Easton Cemetery
in Easton, IL.

Obituary
Clarence W. “Sonny” Munsch, 82, of
Beason, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 11,
2025, at his home.
Sonny was born April 21, 1942, in Middletown, IL,
the son of Wayne and Juanita (Hovey) Munsch. He
married Janice Westerfeld on December 24, 1974, in
Lincoln, IL. They celebrated fifty years of marriage
this past December. She survives.
Sonny is also survived by his children, Carol (Bob)
Utterback, Kristy (Carl) Awe, and Patty (Darren)
Newman; stepson, Russel L. Van Note; five
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his
sisters, Ruby (Terry) Allen and Doris Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; children,
Dawn Obrien, Brian Munsch, and Bobby Munsch;
brothers, Harry, Robert, and Edwin Munsch; sister,
Betty Lahr; and his brother-in-law, Robert Anderson.

Sonny worked at Beason Ag. He drove a
truck over the road for 30 years. Sonny enjoyed
NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt. He liked mowing
and caring for his yard.
A graveside service for Sonny will be held at 11:00
am on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Easton Cemetery
in Easton, IL. Memorials may be made in Sonny’s name
to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements have
been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Lincoln.
