Small Business Coalition hosts annual
business expo

Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois Small
Business Coalition hosted a Small Business Expo at the
Lincoln Park District.
The expo showcased 20
small area businesses selling a variety of products such
as handcrafted wood items, clothing, homemade goat milk
soaps, body scrubs, skin care products, wallets, rocks,
handmade jewelry, baked goods, photography, baby toys
and flower arrangements. One unique item was made of
deer antlers.
Businesses represented
at the small business expo included Bob’s Woodshed, BoHo
Babies, C-Side Design’s Clothing, Uniquely Created
Clothing, Coffee Shop Candle Company, Elation Bath and
Body, the Healthy Crumb and Missy’s Sweet Shoppe.

Other businesses showcased included
Em’s Gems, Heart and Flour, Kathy’s Country Crafts, Living Hope
Wellness-Coaching/Nutrition, Kelly’s Creations, Lynn’s Stones and
More, Roni B Photography, Sapphire Blue, Simply Stems, Urban Retreat
and Wild Petals.
With the nice weather, many people
were out shopping at the expo where you could find something for
almost anyone. There were several people selling items that could be
added to Easter baskets.
The Small Business Expo was made possible by a Community Services
Block Grant. It was a great way to get some shopping in and invest
in the community by buying local.
