							Earl E. Jackson, 100, of Mt. Pulaski, 
							IL, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 
							Vonderlieth Living Center.
 Earl was born November 26, 1924, in Mt. Pulaski, IL, 
							the son of Joseph Abner and Elizabeth (Ophardt) 
							Jackson. He married Virginia Foster on August 30, 
							1944, in Mt. Pulaski. She preceded him in death in 
							2012.
 
 Earl is survived by his son, David (Elizabeth) 
							Jackson; daughter, Sharon (Rev. Terrence) O’Brien; 
							grandchildren, Bethany (Joel) Italiano, Todd 
							(Meagan) O’Brien, Valerie (Brian) Henefeld, Alicia 
							Fawns, Rusty (Jill) Edwards, and Michael Edwards; 
							nine great-grandchildren; and seven 
							great-great-grandchildren.
 
 He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, 
							Virginia; and his brothers, James, Roy, George, and 
							Lester Jackson.
 
							Earl proudly served his country from 
							1943-1945 in The United States Navy. He was a Life 
							member of the Mt. Pulaski American Legion and VFW. | 
					
					 
							Earl was a volunteer fireman for 
							twenty-seven years with Mt. Pulaski Fire Department. 
							He was a Life member of Pipefitters and Steamfitters 
							local #137. 
							Funeral services for Earl will be 
							held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025, at 
							St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mt. Pulaski, IL. 
							Visitation will take place one hour prior, from 
							10:00 - 11:00 am also at the church. Burial will 
							follow the service at Steenbergen Cemetery in Mt. 
							Pulaski, where full military rites will be accorded 
							by Mt. Pulaski American Legion Post #447. Memorials 
							may be made in Earl’s name to St. John’s Lutheran 
							Church in Mt. Pulaski. Arrangements have been 
							entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, 
							Mt. Pulaski.
