who was 2-for-2 with five runs batted in. He scored a run on his
fifth inning home run that also scored Keoni Charron.
Preston Cowan was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

inning, pushing the lead to 5-0.
The Hilltoppers had scored a run to open the game after Eric
Cooper tripled and scored on Liam Smith’s sacrifice fly in the
first inning.
Mount Pulaski crossed home plate three times in the top of the
third inning. Four walks and a hit batter spelled disaster for
the Broncos. A single by Cowan was the only hit in the inning as
Mount Pulaski ran the lead to 8-0.
Another Broncos error led to a Mount Pulaski run in the fourth
inning.
The Broncos scored on a single in the bottom of the fourth
inning.
Smith’s two-run shot in the fifth inning put Mount Pulaski in a
position to win by the ten-run rule.
With Carter Clark dealing on the mound, the Hilltoppers only
needed five innings to earn the 11-1 victory.
Clark worked the entire game, allowing just one run on three
hits. He was brilliant in striking out eight batters. He only
