Service: There will be a private graveside service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lincoln, IL, at a later date.

Obituary

James “Pat” Dugan, 76, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Port Charlote Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lincoln, Illinois, on February 15, 1949, to Jack and Sue Dugan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Mike Dugan and Tim Dugan, and great granddaughter, Bailey Willis.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Vicki (Bale) Dugan; sons, Jason (Ralanda) Dugan, and Aaron Dugan, brother, Dan (Nykol) Dugan, sister, Joyce (George) Dugan Sanders, three grandchildren, Emily Dugan, David Dugan, Skylar Dugan, and five great grandchildren.

Pat was a Lincoln High graduate and proudly served in the Navy. He was a combat Vietnam Veteran. He owned and operated Dugan Excavating serving Logan County for over 40 years and retired from Operating Engineers Local 965 and moved to Port Charlotte, Florida to avoid cold winters. He was a wonderful loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle and horses. He also enjoyed his gun collection, hunting, traveling, camping, and loved a good game of Pinocle with friends. Pat was a member of St. Charles Borrmeo Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, and the VFW.

There will be a private graveside service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lincoln, IL, at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children.
