LMH Flag-Raising Ceremony

DETAILS: Calling attention to the importance of organ and tissue donation. The event will be held at the flagpole located near the hospital’s main entrance. According to Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donor Network, which serves Illinois and northwest Indiana, nearly 5,000 Illinoisans are currently waiting for an organ transplant. The ceremony will feature remarks by officials from Memorial Health, Saving Sight and Gift of Hope. Staff will be available in the hospital lobby to register new donors.

DETAILS: A workshop to assist students in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2025-26 academic year. Heartland financial aid and Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) representatives will lead the session, help students and parents at the session to fill out the form, and answer questions about financial aid options. We recommend participants arrive no later than 6:15 p.m. Participants should bring Driver’s license or state ID and Social Security Number, 2023 Federal Income Tax Forms and W-2s, amount of any untaxed income received in 2023 and a FSA ID to sign in electronically. If you are a dependent, your parents will need to create their own FSA ID and complete the required information, Not sure if you're a dependent? Visit https://studentaid.gov/dependency. Indie Bookstore Day

DETAILS: Refreshments, sales, giveaways, and raffles throughout the day. Customers will receive a free Ink & Imprint sticker with every $10+ purchase. The first 10 people who spend $50+ will receive a free Ink & Imprint tote. In addition, for every $10 spent, customers will be given a raffle ticket to enter to win one of the store’s raffle items. Indie Bookstore Day is also the first day customers will be able to get Ink & Imprint t-shirts. Plus one lucky customer who finds the LIbro Golden Ticket hidden in the store will receive 12 free audiobooks. Kids can also decorate a bookmark for a chance to win the bookmark design contest. Periodically throughout the day, local authors will be stopping by the bookstore to meet customers and sign their books.
