ROCHESTER
- Billie Jo Eakin, 86, of Rochester, IL.,(formerly of
Mt. Pulaski and Lincoln), passed away Monday, April 14, 2025 at
Taylorville Skilled Nursing and Rehab.

Graveside Services for Billie Jo will take place at
2:00 PM on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Mt. Pulaski
Cemetery.

Obituary
Billie Jo Eakin, 86, of Rochester,
IL.,(formerly of Mt. Pulaski and Lincoln), passed
away Monday, April 14, 2025 at Taylorville Skilled
Nursing and Rehab.
Billie Jo was born on August 21, 1938 in Mt.
Pulaski, IL., the daughter of Wilford and Mildred
(Millard) Logan.
She is survived by her two daughters, Shawn (Bill)
Shanholtzer and Lynn Lynch; grandchildren, Ashley
Kram, Justin Shanholtzer, Joshua Lynch, Kelcey
Lynch, and Raven McGowan; 8 great grandchildren; her
brother, Leroy (Linda) Logan; and her sister,
Barbara Logan.
Billie Jo is preceded in death by her parents,
brother, Richard Logan, and sister, Rosemary
Barringer.
Billie Jo worked at Pierce Glass and
Bottle Factory in Lincoln for 30 plus years before
retiring. She enjoyed traveling, visiting
lighthouses, and going to the beach. Most of all,
Billie enjoyed spending time with her family
(especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren,
and “grand-dogs”).

Graveside Services for Billie Jo will
take place at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at
Mt. Pulaski Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her
memory to the American Lung Association.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski
has been entrusted with arrangements.
