Senior Day 2025: Parker Graue
no-hits Lanphier
[April 23, 2025]
Parker Graue created a memory on the mound Tuesday afternoon
at Mike Curry Field that he won’t ever forget.
Graue no-hit Springfield Lanphier as the Railsplitters beat the
Lions 15-0 in four innings on Senior Day.
Graue pitched to 13 batters in the game, throwing 32 of his 56
pitches for strikes. He walked two and struck out five as he earned
the win and made a memory to last a lifetime.
The Railsplitters honored seven senior baseball players and one
senior manager before the first pitch versus Lanphier.
The 2025 Lincoln Railsplitters seniors are: Parker Graue, Griffin
Shaw, Kyle Koehler, Brady Miller, Drew Hayes, Jaedyn Gulley and
Ashton Corley.
Airiana Hoyt was the lone senior manager honored.
The Railsplitters were sharp from the start.
Graue started the game with a strikeout and after a walk to the no.
2 hitter, the Railsplitters escaped the inning on a clean double
play, shortstop to first.
Lincoln scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning, all on
two outs. Austin Lucas was hit by a pitch and Parker Graue walked,
giving Jaedyn Gulley the opportunity to drive in two runs on his
double to right field. After Griffin Shaw singled, Karson Komnick
hit a rocket off the glove of the third baseman for a hit, scoring
Gulley with the third run of the inning.
Graue got three easy ground outs in the second inning on just ten
pitches.
Lincoln plated six runs in the bottom of the third inning.
Kyle Koehler got things started by tagging a double to left field.
He scored easily on Ashton Corley’s triple to right field. Austin
Lucas tallied an RBI on his single to right. Drew Hayes had a good
at-bat, hanging tough and earning the sacrifice fly to score another
run. Graue singled in the next at-bat while Gulley followed that up
by crushing the ball to deep center for a run-scoring double. After
Shaw was hit by a pitch and the Railsplitters had two outs, Brady
Miller came through with a double to left that scored two more runs
in the inning. Lincoln sent ten men to the plate in the inning and
came away with a 9-0 lead.
Graue allowed a lead-off walk in the top of the third inning but
returned to form and struck out the three remaining batters he faced
in the inning.
Corley was having himself a day and he led off the bottom of the
third inning with an inside the park home run. Lincoln would have
just one more hit in the inning, a single by Lucas, but with five
more walks and an error committed by the Lions, Lincoln ran the
score to 15-0 pretty fast.
