The Department F Sheep PeeWee Showmanship and Costume Show brought
smiles and cheers to the Logan County Fair as some of the youngest
participants took the ring. Designed to introduce children to the
world of livestock showing, the event focused on fun, encouragement,
			and creativity.

Winners of the PeeWee Showmanship contest included Henslee Baker in
the 2–4 age group, Hank Garey in the 5–6 group, and Sophia Peddicord,
who took home first place in the middle PeeWee class. Each child
demonstrated their growing confidence in handling and presenting
sheep in front of a crowd and judge. After the competition, all
PeeWee participants were treated to free ice cream from the local
ice cream parlor, Top Hat—a sweet reward for a job well done.

The costume contest stole the show with impressive creativity and
humor. Some of the standout sheep costumes included a red-lipsticked
Taylor Swift lookalike, a stormy "wether news" sheep, and the
all-American themed winners, Colton and Brantley Conrady, who passed
out Dr. Pepper to their competitors while proudly displaying their
			patriotic sheep.

The audience played a special role in this year’s costume judging.
The judge encouraged the crowd to cheer for their favorites, making
the decision process interactive and light-hearted. “It gets harder
every year to decide a winner,” she said, smiling as she tallied the
			applause.

Whether showcasing skills or costumes, the PeeWee participants
reminded everyone that livestock shows aren’t just about
competition—they’re about building community, confidence, and having
			fun at the fair.
