Obituary
Robert Lloyd “Hutch” Hutchison passed
away peacefully on August 1, 2025, with family by
his side.
Lloyd was a hardworking man, dedicating many years
to PPG Industries, where he proudly served as
president of the local union. Outside of work, Lloyd
was a talented musician and a member of the band The
Chaparrals, sharing his love for music with many.
After moving to Florida in 1985, Lloyd continued his
passion for music while building his own successful
businesses. In 2011, he met the love of his life,
Linda Gruber. Together, they built a beautiful life
filled with love, laughter, and companionship.
Fondly known as “Hutch” by his many friends, Lloyd
had a gift for making people feel welcome. A true
people person, he often said, “You gotta be
friendly.” Hutch will be remembered for his
fun-loving spirit, boundless energy, and kind heart.
He was an active member of the Moose Lodge in DeBary,
Florida, and the Shriners in DeLand, Florida.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his mother Iva Reed
Hutchison, father Roy Hutchison, sons Roger
Hutchison and Dennis “Gator” Hutchison, brothers
Rich Hutchison, George Hutchison, and Shelby
Hutchison.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Gruber
Hutchison of Allen, TX; son Randy Hutchison and wife
Ruth of Allen, TX; daughter-in-law Donna Hutchison
of Lincoln, IL; and his “favorite daughter” Debbie
Hutchison of Colorado Springs, CO. ; and sister Vera
Ramlow of Lincoln, IL. He also leaves behind five
grandchildren: Scott Hutchison, Joshua Hutchison,
Jeff Hutchison, Adam Hutchison, and his “favorite
granddaughter”, Jenna Wilham. Lloyd was a proud
great-grandfather to ten great-grandchildren: Ava,
Emma, Presley, Keegan, Parker, Paisley, Kinley,
Lucas, Daxton, and Curtis.
