[August 09, 2025]  MECHANICSBURG -  Gerald D. "Jerry" Daugherty, 77, of Mechanicsburg, passed away August 7, 2025, at St. John's Hospital from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Visitation: Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 10 - 11 a.m. at Open Arms Church, Lincoln, Illinois

Service: Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the church.

Obituary

PGerald D. "Jerry" Daugherty, 77, of Mechanicsburg, passed away August 7, 2025, at St. John's Hospital from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Open Arms Church, Lincoln, Illinois . Visitation will be from 10AM until 11 AM with funeral services at 11 AM.

Jerry was born December 30, 1947, in Springfield, IL., the son of Allison Daugherty and Charlene (Moss) Daugherty. He married Dena Rae Worthey on January 28, 1997. She preceded him in death on February 14, 2025. He worked at Precision Products. He enjoyed working in his yard. Jerry loved his family, and he loved the Lord.

Survivors include his children: Tammy Loisel, Tracy Daugherty, and Darrin (Brenda) Daugherty, stepsons Will Hall and Skyler Hall, grandchildren: Elijah Daugherty, Joshua Daugherty, Karra Hall, Cole Hall, Megan Norris, and Monica Barrellie, great grandchildren Ezra Norris, Liam Norris, and David Kyler; brothers Donald Daugherty and Larry Daugherty; and his canine companion Coco.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and son David Chase.
